The Angel is one of the very few licensed weddings venues in Guildford and will
always go that extra mile to provide you with a truly memorable day. We have hosted
hundreds of weddings in the past 450 years, from romantic intimate affairs to full
blown events. There are a number of stunning locations to wed (the historic
Guildford castle being one) and the Angel can happily arrange everything from guest
accommodation to a stunning evening meal.
Planning your day
The Angel is extremely experienced in putting on a wide variety of different style of
wedding. From horse drawn carriage through Guildford High Street to initimate,
private ceremonies, we can assist in every aspect of planning your day.
It’s not only the actual wedding that we can assist with, if you are getting married in
a nearby church we can put on a lavish party afterwards and provide
accommodation for many of your guests.

The Bronte Suite
Once the hotel’s ballroom, the bronte suite has been completely refurbished and can
accommodate:
Up to 70 people sitting for a banquet meal.
Up to 80 people for a civil wedding ceremony
Up to 100 people for a buffet meal.
Guest Accomodation
The Angel Posting house has 22 rooms, all can accommodate two people. We also
have good relationships with other local hotels and guest houses so can happily find
additional accommodation if the need arises.
The Honeymoon Suite
Our finest room, with separate seating and relaxation area plays host to the
honeymoon suite. Chilled champagne, dark chocolate truffles and roses await the
couple- a fantastic end to what will have been a thrilling day.

We have multiple packages for both civil ceremonies and after wedding events. We offer wedding breakfast packages, drinks packages and can happily accomodate a canape reception as well as an evening buffet.
